FundEIU.Com - Fix UNnecessary Deficiencies and Expenses in Illinois Universities

This site isn't meant as a hit piece on EIU, our aim is to save Eastern, not destroy it. But saving EIU takes more than hashtags, likes and rallies, it takes fixing EIU. To fix EIU you must consider and discuss what it is doing wrong before you can correct anything. The current reaction by some members of the community to attack anyone who strays from the EIU talking points does more harm than good. By attacking any dissenting voices with accusations of being anti-EIU, unintelligent, racist and/or trying to destroy Eastern and Charleston (we will be accused of all the above and more) into silence, the real problems are allowed to continue and fester. These festering problems are the root cause of EIU's issues and no amount of grandstanding and scapegoating can change this. In their misguided attempts at saving Eastern by "protecting" it, they will ultimately cause its demise.

Everything you see on this site should have been covered by the JG-TC, it all comes from data anyone can download over the internet. But instead it seems they prefer to just publish whatever EIU says with little to no questioning of their statements. We can't help to think about all those stories from history about company towns in the coal mining industry and jokingly wonder if Panther scrip money is on the way.

Some data will probably make Eastern look good and some will probably make it look bad, but we need to look at all of it and not stick our heads in the sand and hope it all magically fixes itself or just goes away.
